Sun House — a sustainable way to garden outdoors all year round in "canada"

Easy to build

Our greenhouse design is easy to setp up, it can be done by yourself within 1 hour. Imagine a large umbrella with telescopic poles fitting to any terrain, even on the site of a mountain. The tipi like structure is solid with a central pole and 8 outer beans, all wrapped with a clear durable tarp attached with velcro. The only tools you need to put it together is 2 wrenches, which come with the package deal. The dimensions are roughly 10 feet tall, by 20 feet wide, and everything fits in the back of a pick up.

moveable

Its been designed to move often, basically you set it up on fertile soil, and once the nutrients have been used simply pack it up and re-install it elsewhere. The idea of having gardens in which we bring in soil and fertilizer seems so odd, as we are surrounded with lush land. Monoculture is destroying our earth, its not sustainable…

Green Energy & cold months

Using traditional practice and modern technology we can maximize the amount of food yields in a year. Its not the cold that kills many plants its the snow, so if we can keep that off them while creating a bit of a warmer environment with geothermal enerf-gy, you can grow stuff year round outside. Things like berries and sprouts, large leaf lettuces and many rooting vegetables like carrots, beats and turnip.

The greenhouse designed was developed to be used by digging a crater so you can use the heat from the earth, even a 2 foot one will help. In ottawa we successfully built one with a 3 foot hole that never froze solid all winter. Also we have an upgradeable version with a wind turbine at the top & optional solar panels at the bottom. These generate low level heat all winter…
